Programs Overview

UCLA is a major center for French and Francophone Studies, providing an exciting range of courses on language, literature and culture. The Department offers two majors for undergraduate students: a B.A. in French and a B.A. in French and Linguistics. At the graduate level, the Department offers a Ph.D. program that emphasizes original scholarly research in a selected field, combined with a solid general knowledge of French and Francophone literature and culture.
