Research Interest: Central & West Africa, the French novel, 19th & 20th century Literature
As a PhD student, Connor Pruss studies African writers working in the French language. He is interested in the way these writers evoke themes of education and migration. Specifically, his research examines how discourses and themes of education are used to critique (neo)colonialism as well as the migrant experience between Africa and France. Additionally, he is interested in literary magazines as a cultural and educational medium.
